All About Aprons

While presentation is key when it comes to food, it is equally important for the chef to look good! Amidst all of the chopping, dicing and sautéing , it can be a challenge keeping your party dress clean. Aprons while functional and necessary are often either plain and boring, adorned with tacky slogans like “Kiss the Cook!” or even worse… covered with a country apple pattern!! You plan a dinner party and spend just as much time selecting your outfit as you do selecting the menu. So don’t let some hideous apron ruin it!

Funky Punkin Apron

Well no worries. Aprons have come a long way and there are so many fabulous options now. Some might actually be cuter than your amazing party dress! Like this ‘Funky Punkin’ apron from Progeny featuring aqua and orange damask and stripes. With and apron like this, who even needs a party dress!

Anthroplogie Apron

I also love this “Stockholm Floral” apron by Anthropologie. One large bloom is the focal point of the design and the lime is nicely contrasted with a just a little teal in the ties.

Callie Micks Apron

For a modern and clean lines, look no further than the “Julia” apron by Callie Micks. Not only is it perfect for your next backyard BBQ but it is environmentally friendly being constructed out of overstock “rescue” fabric.
