Fab Cake Friday: Flour Confections

January 14, 2011 by Carrie Sellman 8 Comments

It’s Friday again and it’s time for another fabulous cake design!  Today’s cake is the fabulous creation of Lisa from Flour Confections.  It has such a romantic and vintage feel to it.  With it’s soft pink, delicate detail work and charming broach, this design would be the perfect addition to any February wedding.  It makes me think of love and Valentine’s Day in a subtle and elegant way.
Romantic Bridal Cake by Flour Confections

This cake is just lovely, isn’t it?  I love the soft color scheme.  It’s a whole new take on the popular pink and brown color combination.  The lacy detail work adds a nice touch of texture and that sugar flower is just stunning!

A special thanks to Flour Confections for the amazing cake inspiration. You can see more of Lisa’s fabulous work on the Flour Confections website and blog and in our Top Tier Directory.

Happy Friday everyone!

THAT’s a sugar flower?! It’s out of this world! I also live the cameo pendant in the middle of all the lace. This is such a pretty cake. Perfect for a girly girl’s party or maybe a sweet sixteen. 🙂
