Retro Candy Week: Taffy

We conclude our Retro Candy Week with…. Taffy!  Old fashioned taffy, salt water taffy, taffy wands.  It’s all delicious and party perfect!  Whether for a wedding, shower or birthday, this retro candy brings a touch of charm to any event.  You could even put it on a cake!
Taffy Cake and Party Favors

Don’t you just LOVE this salt water taffy cake, created by The Cake Studio!  A clever creation by this Ocean City bakery featuring taffy from Shrivers.  Little boxes filled with taffy, like these from Martha Stewart, would be the perfect favor for a beach wedding!   And old fashioned taffy wands, like these from Kate Landers Events, will have the kiddos jumping!  Display them in a glass bowl or apothecary jar for an edible centerpiece.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this week of Retro Candy Inspiration!  If you include some retro candy at your next bash, be sure to share it with us.  Happy Friday everyone!

So adorable! I just learned of a family taffy recipe that my great, great uncle made and sold at fairs and carnivals. The story has me giddy for taffy, so this post is perfectly timed. Super cute!
