Top Cakes to Bake in 2014

Sometimes…. with all of the extra activities and excitement during the month of December, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with our ever growing to-do lists.  Our shopping lists.  Our needs-to-be-mailed list.  Santa’s list!  And on and on.  I hate to admit it, but it’s true.  I am a list junkie.  I can’t even count the number of lists I have floating around related to this blog.  From chicken scratch on paper cluttering my desk to a ginormous spreadsheet that’s tracked the post schedule since 2009.  (I guess I was winging it that first year in 2008… but I’m pretty sure the only people reading at that point were related to me!)  Geez, I almost need a mega master list of some sort, to help me keep track of all my lists!  Oh, that reminds me to make a note… look into better ways to make and track lists.  Before you know it, January is at my door.  The calendar says 2014 and everyone is talking about new year’s resolutions.  Oh sweet heaven, another list to make!!

So this year, I’m getting a head start on one of my lists for 2014.  My baking list!  My list of recipes that I absolutely, positively want to bake in 2014.  Granted, they are all cake recipes, but what did you expect?  Each one of these recipes has caught my eye over the last year… and has left me drooling.  They are some of the prettiest cake recipes from some of my favorite baking blogs.  And I’m dying to give them a try in my own kitchen.  Here’s my list of Top Cakes to Bake in 2014!  There are so many great recipes out there, just waiting for you to give them a go!  What’s on your baking list for 2014?

      Thanks Jess!

It may take a moment to load… but there is a slideshow image that will appear at the end of the post. You can either click on the arrows to scroll through the small cake pics. Or click on the bottom (where it says ‘check out this collection’) to go see the cakes in more detail. Hope that helps!
