Happy Monday! We’re starting off the week on a bright note with a feature that is all about patterns and pop. Black and white is such a bold color scheme, full of contrast and oh-so-crisp. It is a classic combo that can stand on its own or can easily mingle with softer hues. While we often see black and white paired with pinks and corals, today’s cake proves that black and white is up for anything. Even an eye catching pop of yellow! Now add in some stripes, polka dots and an abundance of ruffles and you’ll have today’s perfectly pretty cake. It comes to us from Eva Salazar, owner of Make Me My Cake, and is seriously chic. And just wait until you see this fabulous bow!
Eva Salazar of Make Me My Cake shared a few thoughts about her design:
“I don’t really work with yellow much, but I had the occasion to do it and I have to admit that I absolutely love it. It’s a warm color that combines perfectly with the black and white. I also incorporated a big bow in the center.”
A big thanks to Eva Salazar of Make Me My Cake for sharing her design with us today and inspiring us to go bold with color. If you love this cake and want to learn how to make fabulous bows and fashion details, be sure to check out Eva Salazar’s online cake class on Craftsy!
