Real Party: Winter Wonderland
December 22nd, 2010 by Carrie Sellman | 11 Comments

When I was a kid, I LOVED the snow!  Especially at Christmas!  Maybe it was getting to stay home from school or playing outside until I felt like my fingers would fall off.  Or maybe it was coming back in to a warm mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows.  Whatever the reason, children just seem to love the snow.  My niece and nephew are coming up from Texas for Christmas and they are SO excited about the snow!  As an adult, I’m not quite as thrilled.  Probably because of the shoveling or the skating rink it creates for driving.  So as I look outside at the snow on the ground knowing that more is on the way, I’m thinking that I personally prefer the wintry goodness of today’s Real Party.  This snowy white dessert table from Alchemy Fine Events is truly a Winter Wonderland – one that won’t leave you with frostbite!

Now that is snow that everyone can enjoy, even me!  Here is a little of what Vanessa from Alchemy Fine Events had to say about this dessert table:

“This white winter wonderland dessert table brings the season to life in the most sinfully sweet way. Like a sugar coated forest, this magical dessert table features such delicious delights as red velvet candy cane cakesicles sprinkled with peppermint, fluffy red velvet cake sandwiches and piles of fluffy white snowballs. Tree shaped towers of powdered donuts invited guests to nibble their way through the eye candy, which glittered with soft candlelight. Button covered yarn balls clustered in piles like snowballs while puffy light gold flecked tissue balls created a soft snow falling backdrop for the winter wonderland tablescape.”

A very special thank you to Alchemy Fine Events for the amazing party inspiration and to Justin Lee for the stunning photography.  You can see and read more about this wonderful wintry display on the Alchemy Blog.

Whether you prefer your snow to be the real thing or to come in the form of a powdery white donut… here’s wishing you a wonderfully white Christmas!
