White on White Frills

September 13, 2013 by Carrie Sellman

We have fabulous frills for your Friday cake love.  We’re always a fan of ruffle cakes and today’s feature is a beautiful example of this spectacular style of cake.  Delicate wisps of fondant, so thin they’re almost translucent.  Gracefully encircling the cake in rows upon rows of beauty.  Proving that a monochromatic design can be full of detail, creating a cake that is a complete show stopper!  Incredible white-on-white texture, inspired by the new Vera Wang Bridal Collection, has us gushing over this down-right gorgeous creation.  It comes to us from Sharida Moore of Artisan Cakes of Atlanta and is definitely a must see!

Sharida Moore of Artisan Cakes of Atlanta gives us the scoop on her design:

“This wedding cake was inspired by The Vera Wang Fall 2013 Bridal Collection.  We wanted keep the cake very clean and ethereal, yet embody the look of haute couture.  The frill give it a graceful feel, and the white roses speak to the both the traditional and minimalist bride.”

Completely, utterly in love with this cake!  It’s sheer elegance from the bottom frill to the very top rose petal.  A special thank you to Sharida Moore of Artisan Cakes of Atlanta for sharing her stunning creation with us.  Happy Friday everyone!
