Fab Cake Friday: The Pastry Studio

It’s Friday again!  My favorite thing about Friday is featuring an edible work of art from a talented cake designer.  I could look and search through cake designs for hours!  A few weeks ago I got a quick note on our Facebook Page from The Pastry Studio. I was familiar with The Pastry Studio from years ago but hadn’t checked out their site in awhile. I was so excited to see that their work is just as fabulous as ever!  So today I thought we’d feature one of their most recent creations. This Black and Teal Wedding Cake is all about love.  Literally – it says LOVE!  I love it and think you will too…

What I love most about this little creation is the ‘Love’ plaque.  It adds a small touch of damask without over doing it.  And the small dots on the lettering add an unexpected whimsical twist.   This design would be perfect for a small wedding, a bridal shower or even a Valentine’s Day party.  The black, white and teal color combination is very hot right now and this design does a great job of utilizing that color scheme.  Finish it off with small touches of black scroll work and a white sugar flower.  Love, love, love!
