Hollywood Glamour Dessert Table

April 5, 2011 by Carrie Sellman

A few weeks ago we introduced you to a talented and upcoming cake designer, Stella of Miso Bakes.  We showcased her Summer Lemonade Cake and from the response we received, it was obvious that you loved it!  (if you missed this cake, you must check it out HERE).  Stella is building her portfolio by designing stunning cakes and showcasing them in elegant displays.   Today, I am thrilled to share another one of her incredible creations with you.

Stella wanted to showcase the work of her friend, Yoon, who is a fashion accessories and jewelry designer.  What she created is a fabulous mixture of cake, cookies, cupcakes and jewelry.  What girl wouldn’t love that combination?  Feel like a starlet as you enjoy the sweet side of Hollywood Glamour with this glitzy dessert display.

Oh the Glitz! The Glamour! This dessert table is full of stunning eye candy… some edible and some wearable!   Handmade feathers, black sugar studs and intricate scrollwork are just a few of the lovely details on this cake.  The unique shape is perfectly executed to showcase Yoon’s lovely jewelery.  Sugar cookies iced in royal icing and accented with disco dust create an extra touch of sparkle.  And can you believe the 3D carved bust?  A pearl necklace never looked so sweet!

I can just envision this display at a jewelry swap party, a vintage glam wedding or even a trunk show.  A special thanks to Stella of Miso Bakes for sharing her Hollywood Glamour dessert table with us!
