Valentine’s Day Sweets

January 22, 2010 by Carrie Sellman

With Valentine’s Day only three weeks away, I thought we’d get you started with some fabulous dessert options for your sweetheart.  Nothing says ‘I Love You’ like something gooey, sweet and delicious.  These treats are so charming, anyone would be thrilled to receive them as a gift… not to mention the pleasure of enjoying every delectable morsel.

Valentine's Day Dessert Inspiration
{clockwise, starting at top left:}

  • Order up the ‘Valentine Signature Collection’ cupcakes from Crumbs Bake Shop, including their ‘Chocolate Covered Strawberry’ cupcake and their ‘Sweetheart’ cupcake – Vanilla Cake with chocolate fudge filling topped with chocolate cream cheese frosting.  Sounds delish!
  • Start off the morning with these Coffee Sugar Cookies from i am baker.  Adorable heart cookies that fit on your mug…perfect for our favorite coffee lovers!
  • Heat things up with these Spicy Chocolate Sandwich Cookies by Martha Stewart.  With espresso and cinnamon, they have quite a kick!
  • Young and old alike will love these adorably decorated chocolate sugar cookies from Glorious Treats.  Bag ’em and let the kids take them to school.
  • Covered in a dark chocolate glaze, these heart shaped eclairs by Martha Stewart would be the perfect dessert for any Valentine’s dinner.
  • And just in case you need a little mid-day snack, why not try these chocolate brownies by i am baker.   Packaged up perfectly for man in your life.

I’m getting hungry just writing this post.  Cookies.  Cupcakes.  Eclairs.  But wait, there’s more!

Valentine's Day Dessert Inspiration

{clockwise, starting at top left:}

  • In case you needed more chocolate, try these chocolate cupcakes with chocolate cream cheese frosting by Glorious Treats. They look absolutely glorious!
  • Have Eleni’s adorable Sweet Heart Cookies delivered to your sweetheart.  Modern Designs + Delicious = LOVE.
  • Speaking of cookies to love, check out these charming XOXO cookies by Cakes by Ashley.  Love her cakes, love her cookies!  Simple as that.
  • Saving the best for last – confuse and then impress with this chocolate truffle box by Bakerella. The entire box AND the truffles are all made of cake.  Yes, it is ALL made from cake!  Wrap  your head around that one.

I hope this inspires you to treat your sweetheart to something special on Valentine’s Day!  You know, I could go for a cupcake right about now.  Or a cookie.  Or something chocolate.  How about you?
