Sweet Treat: March Madness Cookies

March 18, 2010 by Carrie Sellman

For those of you who are basketball fans, you know that March Madness begins today.  Yes, the next few weeks will be filled with more NCAA basketball than you can handle.  We’re excited about the tournament, knowing that our team is playing.  Fingers crossed that they make it out of the first round.  I’ve got a little bet going with my husband and the winner gets a 30 min back rub.  Sounds amazing to me, unless of course, I lose.  Nevertheless, I’m quite pumped and thought these adorable basketball cookies were the perfect way to kick off March Madness.
March Madness Cookies

I just love this cookie collection from Eleni’s Cookies.  From the basketballs to the jerseys down to the beer, popcorn and hot dogs, it is a basketball fan’s delight!  What a treat for your guests as you watch the championship game.  These would also be perfect for a basketball themed birthday party for a young child (minus the beer cookies, of course).

Good luck to all of the teams!  And good luck to everyone who has entered our Plates & Napkins Giveaway.  Remember, today is the last day to enter.  We’ll announce our TWO winners tomorrow!

I adore this time of year. The tournament is the best thing going! If only D1 Football would pay attention!

Was sad to see my team lose yesterday, but it’s nothing a cookie can’t fix. 😉

I LOVE these! Not so much a basketball fan… but I’m a fan of these cookies. They would be fun for a birthday party.
