Let me tell you that I was so excited to find this party in my Inbox because it is princess to perfection. Today’s real party is a Princess & Pirates theme created by Melody, a wedding planner & stationery designer, for her daughter’s 3rd birthday. This party is full of fluffy princess goodness that would make any girly girl tinkled pink.
“I thought about what she (my daughter) liked about princesses since she had never even seen a princess movie at that point and figured it must be the dresses. So, I started by finding princess outfits for the little girls & pirate costumes for the boys. I thought it would be fun to display them in a wardrobe with an ornate mirror. We had a station to get nail polish and tattoos and a princess party host to keep the kiddos entertained. Then I thought once the kids were dressed up, it would be great if we could take photos of them to send in the thank you notes- so I hired a photographer, Aaron D Stallworth, and put together a fun backdrop. For an activity, the kids decorated white frames & made sparkly pink playdough. I carried the pink madness throughout the rest of the details including the food & decorations. I topped it all off with an extravagant dessert display of pink treats.”
A very special thank you to Melody for sharing this charming party with us. Be sure to check out more of her fabulous event planning and stationery designs at Innove Events & Paper or on the Style File Studio blog. You can also find a complete princess party package in her Etsy store.
Cute party! I also love all those glass jars in the background of the picture of the food table.
Love this! All of the stripes and polka dots are too cute.
I love the photo booth, such a striking contrast between the pink backdrop and the white frames. Great idea!
The desserts look delish! And you can never have enough pink!
