Fabulous Cake Friday: Intricate Icings

July 2, 2010 by Carrie Sellman

Another week comes to a close with another fabulous cake design.  Today’s cake was created by Rachael Teufel, the cake artist and owner of Intricate Icings in Denver.  The simple yet modern elegance of this design is just stunning.  Feast your eyes on this!
Black & White Damask Cake

I love the crisp and clean feel of this cake!  It incorporates just a touch of damask without over doing it.  The roses on top and surrounding the base add just the right pop of color.  And the brooches – love, love, love!

This design provided a gorgeous centerpiece for one amazingly elegant wedding.  Kudos to Intricate Icings for creating this edible work of art and to Paige Elizabeth for the stunning photography.  You can see more images from this lovely wedding on the Intricate Icings Blog.

Happy Friday everyone!  Have a great holiday weekend!
