Cookie Cocktails

December 17, 2010 by Carrie Sellman

Every year millions of children set out milk and cookies for dear old Santa on Christmas Eve.  Do you ever wonder if Santa gets tired of milk and cookies?  Santa is a grown man (or woman!) and maybe he wants something stronger after a long night of delivering presents.  This will be the first year Santa makes a visit to our little Sadie and maybe she’ll be a sweet baby and leave Santa one of these delicious cookie cocktails.  Classic cookie inspired drinks featuring smooth Partida Tequila make for a very Merry Christmas!

Cookie lovers rejoice for these drinks will make you merry. From the Snickerdoodle to the Toasted Macaroon, Peppermint Chocolate, Seven Layer and even the classic Sugar Cookie – they go down super easy.  Maybe too easy!  Here are some of the recipes to get you started.

Snickerdoodle:
1oz Partida Resposado Tequila
3/4oz Baileys
1/2oz Butterscotch Schnapps
3/4oz Cream
Splash of Cinnamon Schnapps
Cinnamon stick for garnish
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake with ice. Strain into martini glass and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Sugar Cookie:
2-1/2oz Partida Resposado Tequila
1 Tsp Brown Sugar
Brown Sugar for garnish
Rim a cordial glass with brown sugar. Add tequila and brown sugar into a shaker with ice and hake ingredients well. Strain into glass.

Seven Layer Cookie:
3/4oz Godiva Liqueur
3/4oz Coconut Rum
1/2oz Butterscotch Schnapps
1/2oz Partida Anejo Tequila
1/4oz Frangelico
1/2oz Baileys
1/2oz Amaretto
Garnish rim of a martini glass with crushed cookie crumbs. Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice and strain into martini glass.

A special thank you to our friends at Partida Tequila for sharing these delicious and creative Cookie Cocktails to make our holidays festive!  You can find the Chocolate Peppermint and Toasted Macaroon cookie cocktail recipes over on Celebrations at Home later today.  I’m doing a little guest blogging!

Is it Happy Hour yet?  Happy Friday everyone!

As a kid we always left Santa cookies, beer, and carrots for the reindeer (my grandparents use to tell me that Santa was secretly lactose intolerant so that is why he requested the beer). The tradition now carries on with my daughter although last year Santa requested champagne instead of the beer, ha ha.

What a fabulous fabulous idea… I would definitely set out a cocktail for Santa. I would love to have a Snickerdoodle cocktail along with a snickerdoodle cookie, that looks delicious! Calories don’t count at Christmas, right??

Hi Courtney! So glad you found Half Baked! I just recently spotted Cake Vodka for the first time… am I way behind? I haven’t tried it but was definitely intrigued! Is it good?

Wow! I did a similar thing for Christmas last year too though not half as sophisticated as this (see? https://chamchamguide.wordpress.com/2012/12/21/christmas-cookies-kahlua-creme-de-cacao-irish-cream/#more-638).

I’m definitely looking to try the Seven Layer Cookie. Looks amazing!
