Today’s featured cake is the perfect marriage of trend and elegance. It’s one part bohemian and one part art deco. With a small pinch of tribal flair and a huge dash of glam. Creating a design that celebrates geographic pattern with a sophisticated combination of white, black and gold. It’s both graphic and incredibly gorgeous. And we can thank Jessica Ludwig, owner of The Bake Boutique in southern California, for sharing it with us today! Jessica teamed up with some local area talent for a bridal photo shoot that has us inspired. Let’s take a look at this beautiful Bohemian Art Deco Cake…
Can we just pause a moment to take in that bottom tier…. it’s just fabulous! Such a unique and elegant way to pair a geo pattern and metallic. And the muted gold perfectly accentuates the delicate gold detailing on the top tier. Ah, let’s see more!
Jessica of The Bake Boutique gives us the scoop on her design:
“This cake is simple but striking. The design was drafted by the event stylist, the marriage of art deco and tribal chic. My favorite feature on the cake is the royal icing detail on the bottom tier. I found a patterned purse in a magazine and fell in love. I wanted to duplicate the purse design onto the cake. So with a little thought, I decided to make a stencil. It was my first time trying to make a stencil and I am so glad that I tried, the results were incredible.”
