Currently Craving: Pretty Aprons

April 30, 2014 by Carrie Sellman

You know, I realized something recently.  It has been way too long since we went shopping together.  Window shopping that is!  And I think it’s best that we correct this situation, here and now.  What do you think?  Are you up for a little browsing and craving?

Today we’re on the hunt for one of my favorite things… pretty aprons!!  We all know that presentation is key when it comes to food and baking, but the woman behind the whisk deserves to look good too.  With all the sifting and whipping and poofs of powder sugar escaping out of the mixing bowl, yeah — you know what I’m talking about, keeping it together in the kitchen can be a challenge.  So let’s take a look at some of my favorite aprons right now.  All fresh and vibrant for spring or summer, these 8 Pretty Aprons will have you looking as yummy as your best baked dessert.  And feeling quite fabulous in the kitchen!

look as yummy as dessert | 8 Pretty Aprons

No. 1 :  Villa Apron via Anthropologie.  Inspired by a kaleidoscopic of colors, featuring a jewel-tone floral pattern and lush green accents.

No. 2 :  Dancing Elephant Apron via Anthropologie.  Parading elephants create a playful pattern while a dash of chevron adds to the mixed-print fun.

No. 3 :  Yellow Gingham Apron via Jesse Steele.  Look like a ray of sunshine in this yellow gingham with just a touch of pink.

No. 4 :  Water Lily Apron via Anthropologie.  The soft mix of pinks, mustard, blue and greens in this water lily print creates a soft watercolor feel.

No. 5 :  Floral Dots Apron via Nordstrom.  Clean and simple, brimming with polka dot charm.

No. 6 :  Frozen Fruits Apron via ModCloth.  So much more than stripes alone, with a favorite summertime fruit to thank.

No. 7 :  Donut Print Apron via Nordstrom.  Charming and vintage with donuts too adorable to resist.

No. 8 : Sugar Spots Apron via Anthropologie.  Tiffany blue with pretty white polka dots and petite braided cording.

I definitely don’t need any more aprons, but some of these are too cute to pass up. Love the one with the donuts!

    Adorable aprons.
I love sewing aprons and giving them to new brides at bridal showers. Each one is unique.

Recovery from double mastectomy due to breast cancer. You can’t lift your arms & you deal with 4 huge drains. I came prepared with my home made pillows & tips but hospital told me so many women do not. So I’ve decided to ask for help on mastectomy pillows & tops. I got to thinking that aprons are great idea. Make pockets large enough to help hold drains. Slip over head, large openings be in arm area & can cover Cammie with soft pants. Plus great fabrics to lift spirits. What I haven’t found is free patterns with easy access to all. Just think of comfort we can spread with adorable aprons for mastectomy & lymphectomy women dealing with cancer. Could you help by providing free apron patterns? Thanks so much
