Real Party: Pink Sparkle Birthday

August 30, 2010 by Carrie Sellman

Today’s real party is truly a pleasure for me to post.  I received this party from one of my previous cake customers back in Dallas.  I designed a first birthday cake for Erin’s oldest daughter almost four years ago.  I was thrilled to not only hear from her, but to know that she continues to follow Half Baked.  Erin’s second little girl just recently turned one and she put together this fabulous Pink Sparkle Party for the celebration.

Pink Sparkle Birthday Party

This party is just too cute and the birthday girl could not be more adorable!  Erin created most of the details herself, including the cupcakes, toppers, cupcake stand, photos, and scrapbook.  The pom poms are from ADashofColor on Etsy.  The birthday outfit is from ChicBabyRose on Etsy and the cake is from Theme Cakes by Traci.  Here is a little of what Erin had to say about this event:

“We celebrated at my parents beach house near Galveston. My girls wore matching outfits from Etsy that were so cute! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a picture of them together because….well, they are 3 and 1 so they don’t always cooperate! ha! We grilled burgers and hot dogs while the kids played bubbles, threw water balloons, and grabbed candy from the pinata. After all the celebrating, we headed on the beach for play!”

A special thanks to Erin for sharing this adorable Pink Sparkle Party with us! You can see more of this party here on her blog.

Is that a tutu that is used for the cupcake stand? If so, where did you find it. If it’s not, then what did you use to make this?
    Thank you!

Megan – the birthday girl’s mother made most of the decorations herself, including the cake stand. To me, it looks like several layers of pink tulle, wrapped around the base of the stand. You could probably also use a tutu as a quick alternative. : )

Do you know where the plates came from? I can’t seem to find them anywhere

Hi Amanda – Plates and Napkins is a great source for paper plates. I’m not sure if they’ll have exactly what you’re looking for, but hopefully something close!

Beautiful party! Where did you get the tablecloth from? I’ve been looking for one like it but can’t find it.

Jessica – the hostess, Erin, created most of the party details herself. I am *guessing* that she bought fabric and made the tablecloth herself.
