Yay! It’s Friday and time for another Fabulous Cake! Today’s design is a sleek and modern bridal cake created by Summer of Stardust Pastry in Austin. Summer’s style is clean and crisp and her sugar flowers are truly exceptional. Just take a look at this stunning creation.
I love the overall shape of this cake, being so slender and tall. It makes such a statement. The fondant ruffles create the perfect background, with just enough detail to set the stage for the red sugar flowers which truly pop. A delicate dotted border at the base of each tier is the finishing touch. This cake is both elegant and modern. Love it!

What are the sizes of the tiers? They blend so well together
Sharon – I couldn’t say for sure since this beautiful cake is the creation of Stardust Pastry. However, they look like extra tall tiers to me. So maybe 6″ high. I’m guessing that it’s a 6″, 7″, 8″ and 10″ rounds.
