After nine long months of baking, our little girl has arrived! Sadie Anne is here and we could not be more thrilled. She is by far the best thing I’ve ever created and I am just in awe. While I take some time to be with my family, Half Baked will be visited by some extraordinary guest bloggers serving up amazing Fall inspiration. Everything from creative DIY’s to parties and fabulous cakes. Trust me, you won’t even miss me! But before I go, I thought I’d share with you some pictures of Sadie’s ladybug nursery. It’s times like this when I wish I had a better camera, but you get the idea!
I wanted to design a room that would grow with her and not be the typical pink baby room. I fell in love with these sheets from Caden Lane and then built upon them creating a turquoise, red and chocolate brown color scheme to accent the predominantly white bedding. While racking my brain for a ‘theme’ that worked with these colors and was still appropriate for a little girl, I saw this adorable ladybug party collection by The Celebration Shoppe. Instantly I was inspired to include ladybugs and flowers. Let’s take a look…
The mobile was inspired by the amazing creations of Frazier & Wing. Their modern mobiles have such style, I just adore them! Crafting this mobile myself was quite a challenge, requiring numerous attempts, oodles of frustration and WAY too much time! Take my advice, let Frazier & Wing whip up one of these babies for you.
I hope you enjoy this little peak into our home and into Sadie’s nursery. While I look forward to enjoying these next few weeks with my new family, you can look forward to some fabulous guest posts here on Half Baked. We have quite the line up of guest bloggers set, so be sure to check back and see what they have in store for us!
That room is just gorgeous! I hope we’ll get some pictures of the little ladybug herself, soon. Congratulations!
Congratulations! How exciting! The room looks gorgeous! Great idea! I am expecting our last child, we had a little boy and now our little girl so this is fantastic to show other ways to create a girl’s room! I chose little birds and garden theme but I am trying to stay away from the full blown pink route. Thank you for sharing! Gorgeous room! Good job!
Beautiful and CONGRATS!! Enjoy every minute!
