I’m so happy to be your guest blogger for Carrie, today. I’m Chris Nease from Celebrations At Home, and my blog is dedicated to showcasing the latest trends, inspiring ‘real parties’, and easy DIY projects for entertaining. I also style real parties for clients, as well as design upscale children’s parties. But enough about me…today I’m sharing an inspiration board for a fun Fall gathering with friends.
This is the perfect time of year to plan a soup or chili party when the chill in the air grows as the sun goes down. You can offer to serve a few different flavors yourself, or ask friends to bring their favorite batch and have a tasting. Have a small prize for the winning soup or chili, such as an apron, some cooking gadgets, or a bottle of wine.
Create a festive atmosphere with seasonal flowers, and decor in earthy tones. Dessert can be mini apple, or pumpkin pies – individual servings are always popular with party guests.
Set up an Autumn candy station to serve as a make-and-take favor area. Just provide cute containers for your guests to fill up and take home.
After a long hot summer, this is a perfect way to welcome the Fall season!
{A huge thank you to Chris for this charming Fall inspiration. I love this time of year and I love her ideas! Completely makes me want to invite friends over! ~Carrie)
I love this idea! I’m always trying to come up with casual themes to have a few friends over, and I know people would love to be a part of the gathering in this way. I think they’d have a lot of fun making their favorite recipe and having friends try it out. Will have to add it to my “parties to have” list!
Love the mini pumpkin pies! Getting to enjoy the treat without feeling guilty!
Such fun ideas, love the mini pies!
I love those soup cups with spoons. Do you know where I can get those?
