With only a few days left in the month of October, I thought we’d sneak in one more day of pink, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Today’s lovely creation comes to us from our friends at The Pastry Studio in Daytona Beach, Florida. Sherri Meyers and her team once again have us swooning with their refined sense of style and meticulous execution! Today’s feature is everything a pink cake should be. Soft, feminine, and simply stunning. It’s a Pink Ombre Ruffle Cake that will steal your heart!
It’s breathtaking, isn’t it!? I love how the flirty ruffles gracefully fade from a soft pastel pink into a romantic blush. Paired with delicate hand-piped scrolls, it’s the perfect amount of sophisticated frill. Not to mention the gorgeous sugar flower in center stage….
Seriously, this cake just makes me happy! Everything about it warms my heart and makes me smile! It’s beautiful. It’s elegant. It’s perfectly pink. And it’s spectacular!
A big thank you to Sherri Meyers and her team at The Pastry Studio for sharing this exquisite Pink Ombre Ruffle Cake with us today! It is beyond lovely!

What a sublimely beautiful cake. I wonder if the ruffles are chocolate or gum paste? Talent in pink.

Is it against good manners to ask what decorating tip produced those beautiful ruffles?
Maybe the decorator or maybe someone more advanced than I could answer the question……please, I hope.

Annabelle,
Those are either modeling chocolate or fondant or gum paste ombre ruffles- not piped with buttercream. See Maggie Austins website. She teaches a class on making these at Craftsy.com.
Lauren Kitchens teaches a class as well on her DVD.

Does anyone know what stencil might have been used for the top cake design?
