We’re wrapping up the week with an elegant bridal cake fit for the prettiest of summer weddings. With a swoon-worthy color combination and ruffles to make you weak at the knees. Pastel mint is paired with soft white and the smallest hint of blush pink, contrasted by just a teeny pop of black. Ruffles go swirling, twirling all around as they gracefully flow from one delicate rosette to the next. While a sugar magnolia bloom tops off this design with a touch of romance. Ahhh, so gorgeous!
Today’s featured cake comes to us from Sameen Ismail of Baked In Caked Out located in Manchester, United Kingdom. It’s enough to make our hearts skip a few beats faster… and it’s about time for you to fall in love too. Let’s have a Friday moment, enjoying this Mint Ruffled Rosette Cake!
Sameen Ismail of Baked In Caked Out gives us the scoop on her design:
“Normally when you say “ruffles” people think fabric, be it a party dress or a gorgeous wedding gown but to me ruffles make an unbelievably romantic wedding cake.
Hand crafted all in sugar, the ruffles are made out of sugar paste. The basic inspiration for the ruffles came from amazing Vera Wang wedding gowns. Apart from the ruffles I wanted to keep the cake nice and simple so I designed the cake with plain top two tiers. Magnolia is one of my most favorite flowers so for this cake I made a giant Southern Magnolia flower with leaves and berries to finish the cake nicely.”
Seriously. Undeniably. Gorgeous!
A special thank you to Sameen of Baked In Caked Out for sharing her Mint Ruffled Rosette Cake with us today. It is beyond fabulous and an incredible end to our week. Happy Friday everyone!
