In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re going pink all week long. To remember, honor and support all of those who’s lives have been touched by breast cancer. It’s Friday and day five of our pink fun! (If you missed any of the prior days, you can catch up here).
Today’s featured cake is another perfectly pink pretty. Only this time we’re talking soft, blushing, pastel pink. A cake so perfectly ladylike that every last detail is impeccably groomed and ultra tailored. A mix of petite pearls, artfully arranged with a hint of spontaneity, gracefully flows down the front. White roses, with just a hint of blush, are in full bloom. While a single awareness ribbon gives a subtle nod to the occasion and a dainty pink stand wraps up this darling display. It all comes to us from Sherri Meyers and her team at The Pastry Studio in Daytona Beach. Let’s enjoy this Romantic Pink Ribbon Cake.
Sherri of The Pastry Studio gives us the scoop on this design:
“The Pastry Studio’s Romantic Pink Ribbon Cake design is dedicated to breast cancer awareness. I designed this cake to celebrate all of the efforts that support National Breast Cancer Month. Locally here in Daytona Beach, FL we are participating on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in a Making Strides race:
Making Strides of Volusia/Flagler, FL
‘Every Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is an incredible and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our breast cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.’
Our cake will be featured at a breakfast after the walk. Along with the cake we will be serving {Strawberry Swirl Pink Ribbon Mini Cupcakes} to all who participate.”
Yep, 100% gorgeous with a special event awaiting. That makes this cake twice as amazing! Thank you to Sherri Meyers of The Pastry Studio for sharing this perfectly pink cake with us today and for participating in our Pink Week. And for getting out there and making a difference! If you’re in the Daytona area this weekend, head out and join Sherri at the Making Strides walk on Saturday!
