In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’ve been celebrating with pink all week long. And we’re wrapping up our pink tribute with a rare Saturday edition. Because there were just too many beautiful pink cakes in my inbox to fit into one week. So I thought we’d sneak in one more post! (If you missed any of the prior days, you can catch up here).
Today’s feature is a gorgeous wedding shoot filled with shades of pink and little touches of gold. With oodles of details and sweets galore, this display is sure to get your heart racing. And just wait until you see the incredible wedding cake with its fabulous pearls and ruffles and a white-on-white textured tier that is out of this world. It comes to us from Sameen Ismail of Baked In Caked Out located in Manchester, United Kingdom. There’s so many lovely images today… I’m going to let you get lost in the photos while Sameen gives you the details.
Sameen Ismail of Baked In Caked Out gives us the scoop on this wedding shoot:
“A few months ago I was invited to join some wonderful artists to work on an inspirational wedding shoot. The concept was a perfect mix of contemporary stye and romance. The pink and gold scheme is really popular this season for modern weddings. What I love most about this shoot are all the pretty details, the beautiful china, the vintage props and the delicate lace chair covers. The unique floral arrangements add a soft and romantic quality to the formal table set up and the sparkling gold stationary adds glamour. The ornate rooms of the stunning 19th century Thornton Manor made the perfect location.”
Sameen Ismail of Baked In Caked Out tells us more about the cakes:
When our stylist Rabbia sent me the mood board for the shoot the word that popped into my mind was “delicate”. Dessert tables are the latest trend in modern weddings and that is exactly what we aimed for. For the wedding cake I knew I wanted to make something delicate and romantic and to me that’s exactly what pearls and ruffles are. Pearls have been a sign of love for eternity and ruffles describe the modern bride. I made some big sugar flowers for the top to give the wedding cake an overall delicate look. I wanted the two smaller cakes to be pretty but to not steal the attention from the main cake so I kept one in white with some intricate carvings like vintage photo frames matching the period paintings at the venue. I gave the second small cake some rustic charm with a jute twine and a single bloom as if it had just fallen off a tree.
A huge thank you to Sameen Ismail of Baked In Caked Out for sharing this lovely wedding shoot with us today. It is the perfect ending to our Pink Week!

Wonderful cake to end Pink Week. The ruffles are exquisite and so is the white floral tier. Great job!
