Skinny Margarita

May 5, 2011 by Carrie Sellman

It’s Cinco de Mayo and you know what that means!   Today you have a great excuse to celebrate and enjoy some delicious Mexican food and a frosty margarita.  But it’s no secret that the amount of calories in a margarita can be ridiculously high… sometimes higher than an entire meal.  That leaves no room for dessert!  So today we’re sharing a margarita recipe that has all of the fun without all of the guilt.   A Skinny Margarita!   With no garnish, salt or triple sec required, the alcohol and sugar content are lower than traditional margaritas—by as much as 200 calories!  Get your party started (or should I say fiesta) with this Guilt Free Margarita from Partida Tequila.Skinny Guilt Free Margarita by Partida Tequila

Guilt Free Margarita Recipe:

• 1 oz. lime juice
• ¾ oz. pure, organic agave nectar
• ¾ oz. pure spring water
• 1.5 oz. Partida Tequila (Blanco, Reposado or Añejo)

A special thank you to our friends at Partida Tequila for sharing this Guilt Free Margarita recipe with us.  Enjoy!  Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

At least knowing we are taking in low cal reduces our burden of guilt. I think we would all like to avoid fatty foods or reduce cals but just that sometimes we dont know about alternatives or viable substitutes. We do Margarita but it is relieving that it can be prepared in another way for health-conscious individuals. Perhaps margarita recipes have the most varied recipes because we do classic cocktails with a slightly Mediterranean tequila flavor.
