Guest Post: DIY Cake Plate Ruffle

Hi! My name is Kim Byers and I’m the owner and creative director of The Celebration Shoppe.  I’m so excited that Carrie asked me to be a guest blogger while she takes some time off to enjoy her new little bundle!

And since Carrie is all about the cake {wink}, I thought I would show you a simple DIY cake plate ruffle that I whipped up for our new Candy Corn Halloween Collection photo shoot held a few weeks ago.

Using black crepe paper and double sided tape, I created a simple ruffle around the edge of the plate. It was super easy to pull together and cleanup was a snap!

If you love this idea make sure you hop over and see all the other craft ideas I used to style our Halloween shoot including a fabric and tulle witch hat, fabric Halloween masks and more.

And this coming week I’m styling our new Harvest collection! Join us on facebook, follow me on twitter or subscribe to my blog for updates. By the way, I like giving things away to my friends and my facebook fans, twitter followers and blog readers get first dibs!

{A very special thank you to Kim for this super fun guest post!  Fast and easy but still totally cute!  Now, even a new mom can do this!  ~Carrie}
